USA & Canada 2008

In 2008 Miss Lou and I decided to head off to New York to visit the friends we met and traveled with for some of our time in Morocco. We asked the girls to show us the bits and pieces of New York that they liked. We also headed up to Canada (who could miss that opportunity?) and saw a small slice of life there as well.

The Wheel
The carriages moved a little too much for Lou’s liking but she very bravely went on anyway!
Disneyland
One of the rides, well actually there’s a couple of them in the shot, we went on two of them!
Shoot the Freak
Apparently the ‘freak’ is actually a college student and this is an easy way to earn a little money…
Coney Island Shoot the Freak
I kid you not they actually pay a guy to suit up so people can pay to ‘shoot the freak’ on the boardwalk at Coney Island.
Roof Top View
View from the roof of the Rockford Centre back towards Central Park where we’d just been walking.
Central Park
We went for a walk through Central Park, who would of thought we were in the middle of Manhattan!

The Sky Wheel
The Sky Wheel gives you a great view of the falls all lit up at night.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls, getting on the Maid of the Mist to get a closer look was worth the money
Maid of the Mist
One gets a little wet on this boat as well, its more sedate than the jet boat, different type of tour but fun and a great experience.
Jet Boat
And another one, be warned hey do there best to get you wet through.
Jet Boat
Ok this isn’t the boat we were on, obviously since I am standing up on the side of the road taking the photo, but you get the idea. Loads of fun!
