We arrived in Ushuaia after a few delays at the airport. We were advised to get to the airport early due to the airport and airline dramas. Turns out is was good advise to follow and at least we made it here.
We spent longer at the airport in Buenos Aires than we did on the plane to get here. Since the domestic terminal has been closed all the flights are going from the International Terminal, its insane!
Still as I said we at least got here which is a good thing. We got up in the so called ‘End of the World’ to almost every kind of weather except hail. Wind, rain, snow and momentary pockets of sun oh and it was really cold after the few days of nice weather experienced in Buenos Aires.
We walked around the town with things not really working out. We tried to go to the museum which ended up closed. We kept waiting for the weather to clear so we could walk up to the glacier since we’re told there is no point if the weather is bad since its mainly for the view that one goes up there.
In the small pockets of sun we’d determine that we could get a taxi and head up but before we could catch up cab the weather would close in again. We ended up back in the hostel, with most of the others looking out at the world as it continued to change from one thing to the other.
It was just one of those kind of days.
Still that evening after talking with some of our dorm mates we teed up to hire a car. The weather was meant to be the same tomorrow so we thought we’d at least get to see something this way.
So tomorrow the road trip out to the shipwreck, should be fun.
