After a bug infested night, there are days and er nights that I’m really grateful for insect repellent. We got up as per our normal fashion about 8ish and headed back to the P Guest House for breakfast.

It was time to move on today so we packed our bags and after breakfast we waved goodbye to the Bluestar Guest House and started up the driveway to look for a tuk-tuk to take us to the bus station. At the top of the driveway we ran into a Beligian couple with their kids piling into the back of a Sawngthaew (ute with two rows of seats running the length of the tray) so we halved the cost with them and jumped in.
Today we conquered the world… well… maybe a mountain… ok, ok you got me… it was a waterfall… but it was huge! Well it felt that way after climbing for an hour and seeing “level 6” at least 3 times before we got to “level 7”. That makes it bigger doesn’t it?
We got off to a leisurely start this morning, or at least it felt so since we did not make it past our rooms door until about 0830hrs. We had breakfast down the road before heading off to the bridge, as in ‘The Bridge Over The River Kwai’.
One night in Bangkok… sorry… haven’t downloaded the rest of the song, but I am sure it is appropriate. The view of the city from our balcony at night was stunning, with the ferries lit up and travelling down the river, and the hotels creating a stunning reflection with their multitudes of lights.
