Island Reef Job

The first thing I thought of when I heard this, even though it was on the news is that its got to be a joke.  Still if its real its a fairly tempting joke!

The Queensland Tourist Authority is offering someone a chance to win a job as an Island Caretaker on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef.  The pay is substantial offering $150’000.00 for 6 months work.

Doing what you might ask?

Well included in the duties is to keep a blog, video blog and images all designed to promote the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef to the world to encourage tourism.

Now if this was about 10 years ago I might even consider it, lets face it what has one got to loose?  So if you’re interested check out this site: Island Reef Job which details the competition.  Although I’m thinking with the number of hits they must be getting the site is bound to crash!  Still from what I can see it is a legitimate offer so if you are interested keep trying and best of luck.
