Well if you tried to get onto the site in the last couple of days what you probably saw was a string of meaningless symbols…. er… sorry… twas a little updating, um, problem.

It’s fixed now.  I hope.

The tech people of my ISP (who shall remain nameless) did the whole shrug shoulder approach,  I mean I’m sure they would have been if I could have seen their shoulders as it was all I had was their words over a telephone.

“yes I can see your upload rate is low….. no I don’t know why…. yes it should be a lot higher…. no I can not explain it…. no I can not help you….”

My host at least offered a few tests to try and said they would try to trace back the problem and see where it was happening and what was happening.  they also gave an answer for how I might fix the problem.  Ok so it was a day or so after the problem occurred but well I guess that is one of the problems you deal with when you are in one country and your host is in another.  It was slow but it worked.

They also firmly pointed the finger back at my ISP.  Sigh.  Don’t you just love corporation’s?

What it amounted to was a couple of days of me trying to upload the new files for my CMS and to cut a long story short it just was not happening.

Still it is done now, with a few glitches I’ve noticed in the backend.  That is my concern though and hopefully it is nothing that anyone else will notice.  Now I’ve just got to pluck up the courage to reload some files and fix the glitches.
