We had to pack up our bags and head off again today since Cass needs to get back to Bangkok for her flight.  So we waved good by to the Sofitel from the back of the hotels van and headed back to the Krabi Bus Station.

This time round we purchased seats on the VIP bus but had to wait cooling our heals until 5pm before the bus left town.  The bus was nice.  The seats reclined almost flat and they had proper leg rests making it far more comfortable.

Also on a bright note.  No screaming kids!

We arrived in Bangkok without a problem and the bus proved to be as comfortable as it looked.  Still did not manage to get much sleep but at least it was comfortable.  The only problem being that we got in about 0400hrs.

We confused the heck out of the guards who kept trying to guide us towards the taxi or local bus ranks but eventually one who spoke a little English came up and we explained that we just needed to sit for awhile as our accommodation would be closed at this hour (as they have a lock out time so if you do not have the keys to the gate you can not get in).  So we sat at the bus station for a couple of hours until about 0600 hrs then caught a taxi to the accommodation.

We sat here far awhile since while they would hold our bags we couldn’t get a room until someone checked out.  About 0900 hrs we headed out to the shops to have a look around and kill some time.  The shopping centre was amazing.  I swear not only can you buy your shoes, dress and jewellery you can then head up to the 4th or 5th floor and buy your brand new Ferrari…. I want to know how they got the luxury cars up there in the first place!

Finally we headed back to the hotel and checked in.  After a brief sleep we went upstairs drank a few beers then it was time to wave good bye to Cass at the Airport.

So finally here I am for my final week in Thailand.
