Well if you haven’t already guessed the countdown is on - 1 month, 6 days and 5 hours.  I haven’t gotten too excited yet.  I’m sure that will start when I have all the stuff I want to take laying on the floor and my intrepid housemate is going through it all throwing stuff back.

Really - how is one supposed to cope with only two pairs of shoes?  Seriously though the closer it gets the more real it starts to seem but like Catherine, until I am sitting in that airport lounge waiting to board the plane to London, I won’t believe that I’m actually going.  For me it’s been nearly 8 years since my last overeas trip so I am desperately trying to remember all that needs to be done. 

Sorry to bore you with irrelevant details but this blog is a homework assignment from the housemate and author of this site.  The task has been set to ensure that I can actually make entries on my own without any assistance from my intrepid travel partner.  We’ll soon see whether I get a pass mark or not!
