Ok so in one of those typical last minute things I’m trying to get a new application for publishing content to my site up and running. Sorry folks.
Six hours to go until the airport. Just thought I would add that.

You know it didn’t really feel like a long flight at first. I think I was too excited to finally be in Buenos Aires. Although a word of warning to those about to fly into Buenos Aires it seems the domestic terminal here is closed so all of the domestic flights are leaving from the international terminal as well. I am sure you can imagine the chaos at the airport.
Still I got out and wondered around the airport for my pickup point. Just when I was sure I’d have to get a taxi since I was already about 15 minutes late I decided to wonder back to have one final look just where I’d come out from customs.
I woke up and you know what to my shock it was morning. Seriously I’d slept all the way till morning. Not that I’m complaining at all. Breakfast at the hostel is the typical coffee or tea, bread rolls with butter and jam, cereal and fruit. It filled a hole at least and the best bit was the coffee. The guy next to me was complaining about how noisy it had been, I was even more shocked that I’d slept through.
I decided to head out for the day and I remember thinking that I really should go for a closer look at the Obelisk since the hostel is named after it we’d passed it in the bus while coming to the hostel but I thought that we’d taken a couple of turns in-between seeing it and arriving at the hostel.
I was heading across the road and about half way across I looked to the left. And there it was. This massive obelisk pointing up to the sky. I was so shocked I nearly stopped right there in the middle of the road. I mean how had I missed that yesterday? We’d crossed the road about four times and I did not notice at all. Heck I’d even walked down the road towards it and not noticed it.
Ok I have to admit that the guy who complained at breakfast that this place was really noisy is correct, it is, I do not know how I slept through it the night before.
Of course that might just be because my room is right above the bar.
Today started slowly enough, there was no real point in rushing around. I had to pack up my bag and move out of my room today. Lil was flying in today on a morning flight so she had booked the room for the night. That way she could take advantage of the free airport transfer.
As it turns out she was a little late but really not her fault.
