Introduction
I’ve always kept a travel journal in one form or another since I started travelling. With varying degrees of success I must admit.
Communication with family and friends is something else I’ve always done. Periodic phone calls, long letters to individuals and long ‘group letters’ to be passed on to everyone.
Then the whole process became much easier. Computers were everywhere, sometimes in the most astounding places. Email became my main form of communication with family members and friends.
Now there is this. An online travel journal, if I can get it up and running!
I trialled most of the available online travel journals and was not quite happy with any of them. So I thought, I’ll just set up my own.
Brilliant, inspiring even. I do not even know the first thing about setting up websites. So you’ll have to bear with me, or not as you choose.
My next trip is Egypt in May 2009 and hopefully I’ll be meeting up with some friends there as well so should prove interesting. Egypt will also be the last major trip before I head off on my RTW so that little clock is counting down steadily to the big departure day. Your welcome to come back and join me then when the journal will be more active. Feel free to check out my photo gallery which has over 200 photos from Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, Morocco, Thailand, New York and Canada or read my journal from some of my other trips.

The video above is something new for Walkers Trails and is the first of many to come. I hope you enjoy my very first foray into the whole video medium, ‘Moments In The World’. This is a little something I threw together to test the system and I decided to leave it up. The first set of Videos is up being the Thailand 2007 series. They can be found both on the Journal and Video Pages or just clicking on one of the links under ‘Country Journal Videos’.
Welcome to the armchair view of my travels.
